Expect views of the Tetons, Gros Ventre, and Snake River Mountain Ranges. You will see a number of bald eagles, osprey, herons, and mergansers on sections of the river. The river ecosystem is also home to elk, mule deer, and moose. We have seen grizzly bears on the float in past years, but this is a unique experience. Our guides are happy to share information and fund facts about the area and spot wildlife.

Dress the same as you would for any outdoor activity. The mornings are generally cool although it warms up rapidly as the sun rises in the sky. It’s better to be overdressed in the morning as you can shed layers as the day goes on. We provide rain parkas should we encounter a shower on the river as well as waterproof blankets.Children 14 and under do not need a license when accompanied by a licensed adult.

It’s best to be prepared, so warm jackets and/or sweaters are recommended, especially for early morning or evening floats. Life jackets will be provided, along with ponchos and waterproof blankets in the event there is a mountain shower. Cameras and phones are welcome; however, these items are brought at your own risk.

A couple of other items to bring:

  • Sunscreen lotion
  • Soft-soled and comfortable shoes
  • Hats
  • Sunglasses
  • Small dry bag for a camera/cell phone

Guests sitting in the front row and potentially on the side rows, will get a splash of water. When we load the boat we do the best we can to accommodate requests. Depending on the group sizes, it may occur that not everyone gets the exact seat they would like, although we do try our very best!

All trips still meet as scheduled. We will make a decision regarding the weather at the boat ramp. We provide waterproof blankets and ponchos. If the trip is canceled due to weather, we will try and rebook for a different time or date. If that is not possible the trip will be refunded.

We provide ice water and sparkling water. Guests are welcome to bring a small snack with them.

Generally, the trips take 3 hours from meet time to drop-off. At lower water levels, which can occur in late summer, the trip may take another half hour.

Fishing can sometimes be better in the rain! With that said, trips go out rain or shine. If there is weather in the forecast, we can provide waders, boots, Helly Hansen rain pants, and Helly Hansen raincoats.

We ask that you meet us at Stilson Parking lot: 1415 Beckley Park Way, Wilson WY 83014. For afternoon trips please plan for traffic as that is the commuter hour.

Yes, we accept all major credit cards.

The minimum age is 4 years old. Depending on the water level, this age minimum may be raised.

No, but you must wear one of our life jackets. Youth life jackets vary based on weight. Adult life jackets have a max chest size of 52 to 58 inches.

The custom seats in our boat help provide back support for Seniors. The section of river we float is class 1-2 which does not contain big whitewater rapids. Heat, elevation, and allergies/medical conditions are some of the biggest concerns. It is important to drink plenty of water throughout the float. Choosing a morning or evening trip may help avoid the heat of the day. Please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions prior to getting in the boat.

There are restrooms at the put-in and take-out access points. You are given ample time to use these facilities at the beginning and end of the trip.
